BUILDINGS ATTACKED
DEMONSTRATIONS IN LIVERPOOL Re.c. 10 p.m. ' LONDON, Aug. 3. There were anti-Jewish demonstrations in Liverpool last night when several shop windows were smashed and a small wooden building in the Jewish section of West Derby Cemetery, Liverpool, was burned to the ground. A gang injured a cemetery employee, who was taken to hospital. The windows of a synagogue in' Liverpool have been smashed, and a Jewish doctor assaulted in a safe. Red-painted notices appeared on the walls of the dock area: " Death to all Jews.” Demonstrators broke the windows of shops of 11 Jews in the Gorbals district of Glasgow. The police have arrested one man.
