NO RESPITE
IRGUN’S THREAT TO BRITISH Rec. 9 p.m. LONDON, Aug. 2. A Jerusalem message states that the Irgun Zvai Leumi terrorists who hanged the two British sergeants distributed leaflets in Tel-Aviv threatening the, British authorities that “for every Jew hanged we will hang a British soldier. Mercy pleas by British fathers shall have no effect on us, just as Jewish appeals for mercy for three Irgun men went unheeded.”
