DRIVE ON MANCHURIAN TOWN DANGER TO CHANGCHUN Rec. 10.30 p.m. ' NANKING, May 26. Chinese Communists are threatening the key Manchurian railway town of Szeping Kai, while continuing their attacks against the Peiping-Mukden railway, just south of the Great Wall in China proper. Government despatches report that 10,000 Communists have driven within five miles north of Szeping Kai, which is 70 miles south-west of Changchun and the.scene last year of a great battle in the successful Government drive on Changchun. Fighting continues around Changchun, but tension has slightly eased. All able-bodied persons within the city have been drafted to dig trenches.
