OTAGO CLUB The annual meeting of the Otago Golf Club was held last night. The president (Mr J. W. Smeaton) occupied the chair. Moving the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet, the president described the past year as “ particularly successful but somewhat difficult.” He drew attention to the fact that the New Zealand championships would be held at Balmacewen in the centennial year and said that the efforts of the incoming committee would be directed to placing the course in the best possible order for this event. The president also referred to the satisfaction of the members with the efforts of Mr T. W. Wight in the dual office of secretaryprofessional. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr J. W. Smeaton; club captain, Mr J. H. Meek; committee—Messrs J. W. Trewern. A. H. Eovd. A. F. Ross, E. B. McDonald, and J W. Mclntosh.
