SWIMMING SPORTS
TECHNICAL COLLEGE GIRLS KEEN COMPETITION SEEN There was keen competition at the annual swimming sports of the girls of the King Edward Technical College yesterday, and an excellent standard ot swimming was displayed. Four records were broken in the championship events, the winner of the Senior Championship, Myra Wilson, lowering the backstroke record over 33 1-3 yards to 22 4-ssec. The winner of the Junior Championship, Irene Gager, broke three records —the junior freestyle over 33 1-3 yards and 50 yards, and the junior backstroke over 33 1-3 yards. The last was a particularly good effort, as the time returned was 23 2-ssec, which was 2 2-ssec under the previous record.
