AN INQUIRY
After the running of the Farewell Handicap an inquiry was held into interference by Beautiful with Cloud Song. Evidence was given by C. McDonald, rider of Brigg Fair, J. McFarlane, rider of Beautiful, and R. J. Brunnell, rider of Cloud Song. The last-named admitted that his mount, Cloud Song, was hanging out immediately before the interference took place, which was a contributory cause to the interference, The committee decided to accept the explanation of McFarlane, and no action was taken.
