UNIONISTS SEEK BOYCOTT
(Rec. 10 p.m.) , SYDNEY, Oct. 3. A boycott by all trade unionists of firms employing union members on Saturday mornings is being sought by a committee of 13 organisations whicn is campaigning for the abolition of Saturday morning work. The committee represents K white collar ” workers in retail stores, banks, insurance, shipping and gas companies, warehouses, municipal and shire councils, and hairdressers. The committee has decided to approach employers’ organisations in an effort to convince them that Saturday work can be abolished and to take a Gallup poll of public opinion.
