SOUTHERN BEATS DUNEDIN A last-minute try enabled Southern to defeat Dunedin by 10 points to 9 in a keenly-contested and lively game at Carlsbrook. Southern led by 7 points to 3 at half time, its points coming from an unconverted try by G. Little arid a field goal by D. Trevathan. while S, F. Barry being often noticeable. A. Manion replaced B. Pettit in the backs in the second spell, and, playing at first fiveeighths, gave added thrust to the attack. R.
