SIR MICHAEL MYERS
PRIME MINISTER’S TRIBUTE SERVICES AS ADMINISTRATOR (Special) WELLINGTON, Aug. 11. High appreciation of Sir Michael Myers’s services to the country as Chief Justice is expressed hT a letter which he has received from the Prime Minister. The Government, Mr Fraser states, associates itself with the cordial tributes expressed by the Bar at the recent gathering to mark Sir Michael Myers’s retirement. “With regard to the administrative duties when' acting as Administrator of the Government during the absences of the Governor-General,” the Prime Mipister added, “I shall ever have in mind the helpful and dignified manner in which these have been carried out. 1 feel impelled to refer also to the most helpful contribution made by you as New Zealand representative at the United States Committee of Jurists in Washington during 1945 and subsequently at the San Francisco Conference.”
