ARABIAN NIGHT AMISS
SCRATCHED FOR HURDLES (Special) CHRISTCHURCH, July 28. Arabian Night was examined this morning by a veterinary surgeon and on his advice the horse will be scratched from the Grand National Steeplechase to-mor-row morning. Except that he has bruised a bone in his near hind leg he Is very fit and the decision about his alternative programme will be delayed pending another examination on Thursday. If he is all right he will run In the Jumpers’ Flat Handicap on Saturday, probably with the Grand National Hurdles to follow.
