DEVELOPMENT WORK VISIT OF DEPARTMENTAL OFFICERS (From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, July 25. The Minister of Works, Mr R. Semple, said to-night that everything possible was being done to push on with developmental works. The Commissioner of Works. Mr E. R. McKillop, the Deputy Commissioner. Mr T. G. Beck, the chief engineer of the Public Works Department, Mr F. Langbein, and the manager of the State Hydro-electric Department, Mr F. T. M. Kissell, and Mr Trevor Smith had flown to the South Island that day to make an examination of power projects.

After they had made a general examination, they were going on to Dunedin, where he would confer with them on Monday.
