CASE AGAINST MAJOR

BROADCASTING FOR ENEMY WITNESSES FROM JAPAN (Rec. 7 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 9. Two Japanese witnesses wjio will give evidence .against Major Charles Cousens are expected to arrive in Australia by air within a few days. They are Miss Fumlko Saisho, an Americaneducated Japanese, and Hiroshi Niino, formerly chief announcer on Radio Tokio. They have arrived at Hollandia in Dutch New Guinea, under escort and are awaiting a passage by plane.

Miss Saisho, who is a master or arts in the University of Michigan, was script supervisor for Radio Tokio. Niino had the distinction of announcing both the Japanese attack on - Pearl Karbour and the Japanese surrender. An American witness is being brought from the United States. Major Cousens is alleged to have made broadcasts from Tokio during the war.
