THANKS IN ADVANCE

NEW MEXICAN PRESIDENT ELECTION ANTICIPATED (Rec. 7 p.m.) MEXICO CITY, July 8 Although the Mexican election results will not be announced officially until July 11, the Government candidate. Miguel Aleman, representing the Party of Revolutionary Institutions, claimed that there was po doubt that he would be elected President, and formally thanked voters.

His chief opponent, ex-Foreign Minister Dr Ezequiel Padilla, who is a member of the Democratic Party, disputed the claim, alleging frauds in the Federal district, which includes Mexico City, and asserting his belief that the actual popular Vote favoured him.

Minor casualties marked' the voting, in which the army was used for the first time in history to police polling places.

Senor Licenciado Miguel Aleman was Minister of the Interior in the last Mexican Government. The President was General Manuel Avila Camacho, who assumed office in December, 1940.
