Tlie speed of the University A eleven was the undoing of Southern at Logan Park, when the students won by 4 goals to nil. Dickinson, the Southern goalkeeper, suffered an injury, and J. McDougall filled his place, giving a good display, including some saves which were warmly applauded. Howie was in form, scoring three of his side’s goals—one from a penalty—and P. Dowsett added the fourth, to make the final score: University A 4, Southern nil. Mr H. Bertenshaw was the referee.
