CENTENNIAL MEMORIAL

PROPOSALS EXAMINED NUMBER REDUCED TO THREE Thirty-four projects submitted in connection with the proposed centennial memorial were considered at a special combined meeting of the Executive and Finance Committees of the Otago Centennial Association last night, and by a process of elimination the number was reduced to three. Details of thes will be presented to a full meeting of the general council of the association next week. The meeting was presided over b„v the vicechairman, Mr J. C. H. Somerville. . All the schemes were thoroughly examined, and two elimination rounds were held by means of which a number were rejected and others grouped.
