“ Here Comes Elmer,’ a laugh-pro-voking comedy with a cast of many of America’s most popular radio entertainers, including A 1 Pearce, Dale Evans, Frank Albertson, Gloria Stuart, “ pinky ” Tomlin, the King Cole Trio, and Jan Garber and his band, heads the new programme which commenced a season at the Strand Theatre yesterday. Robert Lowery and Phyllis Brooks are starred in the associate feature, “ Dangerous Passage.” Action is provided in plenty when Lowery battles with the captain in order to prevent the scuttling of his ship and with gangsters who are attempting to kidnap the woman he loves (Phyllis Brooks). The final episode of “Jungle Queen ” is also being screened.
