DAMAGED BY FIRE
OUTBREAK IN WOOL STORE (P.A.) HASTINGS, Dec. 23. Fire did considerable damage to a large building and its contents, £SOO worth of wool, at the Whakatu Freezing Works, at 6 o’clock last night. It was the second fire in the same section of the works in eight days. The outbreak had a good hold when it was discovered. It was got under control speedily, but not before the building and its contents had been damaged extensively. The building, which is used for wool cleaning purposes, is being repaired to-day to allow operations in the works to be continued without interruption.
