REGENT THEATRE "FIDDLERS’ THREE” Tommy Trinder, one of to-day's most popular British comedians, is rapidly building up a reputation for himself as a film star. He has already appeared in two films—“ The Foreman Who Went to France.” and “ Champagne Charlie”—which were hailed with enthusiasm by both press and public. Now, once again, he is seen in an entirely new venture in “ Fiddlers Three,” a gay musical offering which opened at the Regent Theatre yesterday. This -time Tommy is cast as a Cockney sailor who gets “ pixilated ” at Stonehenge and is whisked back to ancient Rome in Nero’s days. He sings and dances through a riot of fun and Roman games. out-Mirandaing Carmen one moment, flirting with Empress Poppaea the next, auctioning Sonnie Hale dressed up as an alluring slave girl and giving Nero some interesting glimpses of the future by remembering a thing or two about history! Box plans are at the theatre and the D.I.C.
