CHRISTCHURCH TOYS
GIFT TO LONDON CHILDREN (N.Z.P.A. Special Correspondent) LONDON, Dec. 13. A selection of the toys made by the women of Christchurch and districts is now on display in New Zealand House and a well-known shop in Piccadilly before being distributed to children in London's blitzed areas. The distribution is being made by the Lord Mayor s National Air Raid Distress Fund. Consignments of the toys have already been sent to- the Mayors of Stepney, Holborn, and Finsbury, who will, hand them to children who would otherwise have spent a toyless Christmas. Many messages of thanks have been received.
