K. Cameron A. H. Harvie, J. M. Mains, V. C. Pottinger, and J. Ruth, Miss Walker and Miss Potts, secretary. A comprehensive survey of business houses and manufacturing firms has been carried out to ascertain the classes and conditions of work and the number of servicewomen likely to be employed. An official visit was made to the Disabled Servicemen’s Re-establishment League (Inc.), Anzac avenue, because returned servicewomen are eligible for privileges under the rehabilitation scheme. Interesting addresses were given by Miss A. Duthle on kindergarten work; Mrs Russell, on umbrella making; Mr Skipworth, on horticulture; and Mr McSklmming, on ceramics. Mrs V. C. Pottinger. who is liaison officer for the V.A.’s and the Nursing Division, and Miss Potts, rehabilitation officer for women, are rendering valuable service by giving help and advice to servicewomen consulting them. The statistical report ended October 31 has published these figures of the number of servicewomen rehabilitated:—Returned from overseas 87, home service 207.
