CENSORSHIP OF MAILS
PROGRESSIVE EASING NO LONGER IN FORCE FOR MANY PLACES (P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 26. The Censorship Department stated to-day that the censorship of mails between New Zealand and Australia had been declining for some time, and was no longer in existence when the Canberra statement that the Australian censorship had ended was published. The censorship of mails between New Zealand and British and United States territories ceased this month, except for places within the Japanese war zones. The censorship of mails to Europe will be reduced progressively as Governments become established there.
