CLINTON
Rugby Football.—Two matches were played on Saturday afternoon, when the weather, in sharp contrast to the conditions in other parts of the South Island, was very good. Crescent Seniors proved much too fast for the home team, and won by 35 points to nil. —A close game was seen between the Clutha and Clinton Second Grade teams, the former winning by 24 points to 19. L. D. Taylor, a Clutha player, received injuries above his eye which necessitated his admission to the Balclutha Hospital. Mr Ritchie was the referee for both matches.
