SERVICE APPEALS
1000 CASES TO BE HEARD MEN IN FARMING INDUSTRY Approximately 1000 appeal cases have been set down for hearing by the No. XI Armed Forces Appeal Board before the end' of April. The majority concern category-A men who have been retained in primary industry in the-Dunedin, Oamaru, and Central OtagE districts, and will involve a review of the circumstances of their cases in the light of the needs of the army replacement scheme. A number of appeals for 20-year-old reservists and New Caledonia replacements will also be heard. , , The itinerary of the board for its sittings in country centres will be as follows: —Waikouaiti, March 27; Oamaru, March 27, 28, 29; Wanaka, April 5; Cromwell, April 6; Alexandra, April 7; Macrae’s and Palmerston, April 9; Omakau, April 11 and 12; Middlemarch, April 13; Outram, April 14; Ranfurly, April 17 and 18; Mosgiel, April 19 and 20; Oamaru, April 24, 2Q, 2i, 28.
