EXPORTS TO GERMANY /A STATEMENT BY DIRECTOR (Rec. IF p.m.) . LONDON, Jan. 5. “ Since October there has been complete prohibition of the export of material important for war from Switzerland to both belligerent camps,” said Dr Hodt, Director of the Swiss Department of Foreign Trade, in a statement in reply to British ,and American press comments regarding Swiss exports to Germany, quoted by the Swiss radio.
"The prohibition has included ballbearings, aircraft, and radio spares,” added Dr Hodt. “Our future exports to Germany will depend on how Ger- , man exports to Switzerland are delivered. We must again stress how much to this very day we are dependent on German exports of coal and iron ore to keep our industries working.”
