BONNY FLIGHT IN FORM The Gore Racing Club will open the Southland season to-day with an attractive card. The restrictions on transport Impose a serious handicap on racing but nevertheless the public grasp every opportunity to participate in the curtailed calendar. Tire following may be amongst those fancied for their engagements:— 12.30: Pukerau High-weight Handicap.— Alpine, Red Prize, Jack o' Lantern. 1.10: Novice Handicap.—Listen In, St. Nattar, Lisheen. 1.50: Balfour Trot.—Larry Grattan, Dame Rumour, Lighthorne. ■ 2.30: President’s Handicap.—Sal s Pal, Fair Trial, Lance Wing. 3.10: Walmea Handicap—Bonny Flight, Prize Ring, Green Note. 3.50: Stewards’ Handicap.—First In, Silver Lily, Lyndal. 4.30: Otama Trot—Quite Happy, Sylvia Direct, Monagh Leagh. 5.10: Farewell Hack Handicap—Benbecula, Prize Ring, Royal Brief.
