ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
CARS IN COLLISION YOUNG GIRL KILLED (P.A.) NELSON, Oct. 22. A collision between two cars at the intersection of Halifax and Tasman streets at 2.15 this morning resulted in the death of one of the passengers. She was Miss Joan Quinnell Thomas, aged 17, of 65 Wellington street, Nelson. She suffered a fractured skull and died in hospital four hours later. Three other occupants of the car suffered minor injuries and were able to return home after hospital treatment.
