FIRE AT ST. CLAIR

SLIGHT DAMAGE TO HOUSE City Fire Brigade was called to a six-roomed house situated at 42 Beach street, St. Clair, at 12.46 p.m, on Saturday, where a fire slightly damaged the ceiling of one room and the wallpaper in another. The fire was caused by the ignition of gas from a leaking pipe. At 2.5 p.m. the brigade was called lo a chimney fire in Brown street, and at 1,47 a.m. yesterday a malicious false alarm was received from the corner of Mailer and Lawrence streets.
