PETROL ALLOWANCE
SINGLE MEN ON FARMS (F.0.P.R.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 6. Was the Minister of Supply, Mr D. G. Sullivan, aware that district oil fuel controllers had issued general instructions that single men employed on farms would have their petrol licences amended to reduce their visits to their nearest towns to once fortnightly? asked Mr K, J. Holyoake (Oppn., Pahiatua) in a notice of a question in the House of Representatives. He also asked the Minister if he realised what a detrimental effect this would have on the farm labour problem and if .he would take steps to have the order withdrawn. , '
