FAREWELL TO OFFICIALS

The Otago Wrestling Association took the opportunity at its annual meeting on Thursday night of bidding farewell to its former president, Mr W. J. Coughlan, and to Messrs M. Coughlan and C. Hutt (members of the executive). Messrs Coughlan brothers are disposing of their property at North Taieri and have purchased a farm property at Winchester, South Canterbury, and Mr Hutt has been promoted to the position of manager of the merchandise department of Messrs Wr ght. Stephenson, and Co. in Auckland. The newly elected president, Mr T. McCracken, made presentations of travelling rugs to each of the Coughlan brothers, and a fountain pen to Mr Hutt. Several speakers paid a tribute to the services of the three officials, and it was mentidhed that Messrs W. J. and M. Coughlan had been members of the association almost from its inception, and had done much to encourage interest in amateur wrestling. The following officials were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr T. McCracken; vice-presidents, Messrs F. M. Anderson and T. Fogg; honorary treasurer. Mr F. J. Campbell: honorary solicitor. Mr A. G. Neill; committee—Messrs S. Brown, H. Brown, T. Casserley, T. Samson. J. A. Kilm.artin. S. Paris, A. Clark, C. Turner, and W. H. Cadwallader; auditor, Mr J. H. A. McKeefry.
