AIRMAN’S DEATH
INCREDIBLY FOOLISH ACT (N.Z.P.A. Special Correspondent) LONDON. Dec. 31. A verdict of accidental death was returned at the inquest into the death of Flight Sergeant Lawrence Gordon Knight, of Inglewood, who was found dead with a revolver lying beside him at Putney. London. Tne evidence showed that Knight came into the room where he was staying on leave, put a bullet in the revolver, pointed it at his head, and shouted: “ Let’s see where it is.” He pressed the trigger about five times, and it fired the next time.
The coroner said Knight had acted with incredible foolishness.
