ST. ANDREW’S CHURCH
The annual meeting of the congregation of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church was held in the Bible School on. Thursday evening, when the Rev. R. S. Watson presided over a representative gathering. After a devotional service the session clerk, Mr W. K. Cameron, presented the annual report, which stated that the work of the minister, the office-bearers, and the various organisations of the church was being carried on with the faithful devotion and loyal enthusiasm which had always characterised St. Andrew's Church. Special reference was made to the record of courage and devotion of Miss Annie James, 0.8. E., St. Andrew’s “ own missionary ’’ in her service among the stricken Chinese. The financial statement, presented by Mr S. P. Cameron, revealed a very satisfactory financial position, and Mr Cameron expressed .warm appreciation of the continued generosity of members. Mr Watson spoke of the difficult task of the ministry in these days of strain, but stressed the deep and abiding pleasure his ministry brought to him and his profound appreciation of the loyal help and co-operation of the congregation. A social half-hour concluded the meeting.
