FORCES IN PACIFIC
APPOINTMENTS GAZETTED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 12. Appointments and promotions in the New’Zealand Military Forces which were gazetted to-night include the following officers in the 2nd N.Z.E.F. in the Pacific: Brigadier L. G. Goss remains seconded for special duties at the headquarters of a division on relinquishing the command of a brigade. Lieutenant-colonel C. E. Lees is seconded for special duties at a divisional headquarters on relinquishing the temporary command of a battalion.
Major D. E. Trevarthen is appointed assistant adjutant and quartermaster-gen-eral, 2nd N.Z.E.F. lrr the Pacific.
Major V. F. Maxwell is appointed officer commanding an infantry wing of a base training depot. Major McK. Jack, of a field ambulance, is appointed officer commanding a malaria control unit.
