Conditions were a little brighter on the Dunedin Stock Exchange yesterday, several sales being reported. There was, however, practically no variation in quotations. Bank of New South Wales shares were wanted at £33 15s, and Union Banks were inquired for at £7 13s. No sellers came forward. There were no buyers of insurances. New Zealand Breweries were quoted at £1 16s buyer and £1 17s seller. Broken Hill Proprietaries had, a buyer at £2 4s and no seller. The market for G J. Coles closed with a buyer at £2 19s and no seller. Macduffs ordinaries were wanted at 10s sd, and there was a buyer of Mount Lyells at £1 9s 9d. Broken Hill Souths were in demand at £1 6s, without a seller, and there was a seller of North Broken Hills at £2 9s, but no buyer. Yesterday’s Sales Dunedin.—Sales reported: 3i p.c.
