RED CROSS NEWS
The annual meeting of the Middleman* Red Cross Guild was held on Friday. The report showed that during the year 33b knitted garments for the forces had been made and sewing, which bad been done for the refugee box. included a number of bed quilts. It is worthy of note that one member, with the assistance of a young daughter and her husband, has knitted up over a hundred-weight of wool since the start of the war for the men of the forces, and another member has made 58 large patchwork quilts. The president, Mrs s Polaschek, thanked all who had helped with money, clothing, and work The retiring office-bearers were re-elected unopposed.
