ST. PHILOMENA’S EX-PUPILS

The Play-reading and Musical Circles of St. Philomena’s College Ex-pupils’ Association held their first evening for the year on Tuesday, when a large number of ex-pupils were entertained with a programme of songs and music. were given by the ex-pupils’ choir, Miss Jill Cardno (vocal solos), Misses Imelda Tylee and Dorothy McDowell (pianoforte duets), and Miss Joan Harris (violin solos) A play-reading entitled “ For Amusement Only ’’ was produced by Miss Vivienne Kellv and acted by Misses R. and T. O’Connor. P. Hogan, M. Clemenger, V. Kelly, E. Jennings, and K. Cole. Miss Toomey, the president, extended a welcome to members, and especially to those who had just left school. The serving of supper concluded an enjoyable evening.
