Messrs Donald Reid and Co.; Ltd., report that at the March sale held at Allanton on Thursday, before a particularly large attendance of buyers, the yarding totalled 7600 sheep, practically all of which were sold under the hammer. The following prices were realised: Crossbred two-tooth ewes, 30s to 395: crossbred four and six-tooth ewes, 29s 6d to 335; annual draft tussock ewes, 19s to 22s 6d; s.m. crossbred ewes, 20s to 245; f.m. crossbred ewes, 16s to 20s 6d; best failing-mouth ewes, 14s to 17s lOd: cull - ewes, 5s to 8s; ewe lambs, 21s to 255; small ewe lambs, 12s 6d to 16s; best rape lambs, to 21s; wethers lambs, 13s to 16s; small wether lambs, 7s to 10s; forward wethers, 21s to 235; Southdown rams, 4Jgns to sJgns; Romney rams, to 3gns.
