WOMEN BOWLERS
The annual meeting of the Kaituna I Ladies' Bowling Club was presided over' by - Mrs H. D. Campbell. The following officer-bearers were elected for the 194243 season:—President, - Mrs F. H. Williams; vice-president, Mrs J. G. Jeffery; secretary, Mrs C. E. H. Wilson; committee— Mesdames H. D. Campbell, D. Cormack E. McMillan, and H. White. Afternoon tea was provided by the retiring president, who presented the trophies won during the season as follows:—Champion Singles, Mrs J. Hamer; runner-up, Mrs J. G. Jeffery; Club Doubles, Mesdames J. Hamer and F. H. Williams: runners-up. Mesdames E. R. Benfield and C. E. H. Wilson; Handicap Singles, Mrs J. Leech; runner-up, Mrs W. H. Shepherd. During the season £6O was given to the Comforts for Fighters Fund, and, since then, £5 has been handed to the All Purposes Appeal.
