AIR RAID PRECAUTIONS
HIGH STANDARD IN SYDNE^ (N.Z.P.A. Special Australian Correspondent)
(Rec. 1 a.m.) SYDNEY, June 17. Mr C. W. Hamann, the deputy chief engineer for the Ministry of Home Security in Great Britain, states that Sydney's AMI*, is of a very high standard. Mr Hamann, who is loaned to the New Zealand Government as technical adviser on civil defence, arrived in Australia recently. He particularly approved of the use of Sydney's underground railway tunnels as air-raid shelters.
