St. Clair Golf Club.—The best cards returned in the monthly stroke handicap played on the St. Clair links on Saturday afternoon were as follows:—A Grade: N. L. Jones, 83—9—74; J. E. Brown, 87—live; H. A. Gamble. 84—7—77; J. R. Faulls, 89—10—79; E. F. Mosley, 90—11—79; A. G. Bayliss, 91—11—80. B Grade: W. J. Meade, 88—16—72; W. R. Tyson, 93—21 72; E. J. Reid, 88—14—74; J. T. Williamson, 99—24—75; E. A. Calton, 90—14—76; R. J. Hardy, 100—24—76. Chisholm Park Golf Club.—An L.G.U. match was played on Saturday. The best scores were:—Miss Pearce, 107—36—71; Miss Hutchison. 107—36—71; Miss Hill, 102—28—74. Chisholm Park Club.—ln the quarter finals for the Laing trophy, A. Shaw defeated J. Mills 3 and 1. A. Umbers beat L. Wood 1 up at the nineteenth hole, T. Anderson beat W. Meldrum 5 and 4. A medal round resulted in a win for R. Pollock 82—15—67. Other good cards were those of A. Umbers 81—13—68. C. Davis 85—17—68, A. Bezett 90—21—69, T. McCarten 84—14—70, J. Diehl 92—21—71, C. Sin-, clair 92—21—71, A. Callender 94—23—71. The second round of the Services Cup was postponed. Best cards returned in last week's L.G.U. match held by the ladies' mid-week section, were:—Mrs Skerrett 102—32—70 and Mrs Shaw 105— 35—70, who each reduced their handicap by one. On the count back. Mrs Shaw was declared the winner. The best card in the C. Grade was returned by Mrs J. Herbert 119—36—83. In the first round of the putting competition the winner was Mrs D Herbert with a score of 36. The women's mid-week section will a Sealed Holes Handicap to-morrow, commencing at 12.30 p.m. Belleknowes Ladies' Club.—The following are the best scores returned in the Coronation Medal and Aotearoa Cup competitions:—Mrs Seager 88—26—62, Mrs Mclver 83—19—64, Miss Lumsden 92—24 68, Mrs Martin 94—26—68. The best scores in Saturday's match were:—Miss Wyman 99—36—63, Mrs Mclver 83—19—64, Mrs Wilson 82—16—66.
