PRICE CONTROL BILL
THE AMERICAN MEASURE WASHINGTON, (Rec. 11 p.m.) Jan. 28. The Senate approved the muchcompromised Price Control Bill and sent it to the White House. Under the Bill's broad terms the price administration can fix ceilings for prices and rents whenever they threaten to impede the war effort. The Wall Street Journal points out thai the measure is not nearly so stringent as the Canadian measure, which proved effective in stabilising the cost of living.
