Nelson Eddy.—The smart pacer Nelson Eddy was worked in company with Gold Bank on Tuesday, when both horses shaped well. Bronze Eagle.—The Wrack horse Bronze Eagle is being allotted useful work and has freshened up since his last appearance in public. Wellington Trots.—Although the Wellington trotting meetings are largely dependent on outside patronage, a good list of nominations was received for the meeting to be held on February 7. The following are engaged in the principal race: — Summer Handicap, £500; 3.24 class; one mile and a-half—Katene, Pacing Power, Te Roto, Pamelus, Uenuku, Our Peggy, Happy Man, Mendel, Burt Scott, Turco, Happy Locanda, Scapa Flow, Hardy Oak. Stormtost, Lady Carol, Palomar, Coquette, Toceetie, Neutrality, Mazaire, Distributor, Gold Bank. Jimmy Drusus.—Since being sold to the North Island Jimmy Drusus has won three races worth £775. Apparently it is easier to win in tne Auckland district than in Southland, Otago and Canterbury.
