ANIMAL WELFARE
MEETING OF S.P.C.A. The monthly meeting of the committee of the Otago Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was held yesterday. Mr Crosby Morris presided. A letter was received from the town clerk suggesting that the society should, in conjunction with the Emergency Precautions Services, attend to the care of animals during air raids.—A subcommittee was appointed to deal with the matter.
A newspaper cutting was received from Colonel F. Waite describing the activities of the Cairo Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. It stated that the society was not supported in that city, and 'there were many matters that needed attention.
