PUKEKO EATS DUCKLINGS

A FARMER WITNESS REQUEST FOR AMMUNITION Instances of ducklings being killed and eaten by pukeko in the Stirling district were given in a letter received froiiruri farmer by the council of the Otago Acclimatisation Society last night. ~ , , “ One morning recently, he- wrote, “I saw a pukeko run after a duck with' a clutch of ducklings.
