SHOPLIFTER SENTENCED
SIX WEEKS' IMPRISONMENT (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Dec. 5. Six weeks' imprisonment was imposed on George Warren Shilton, aged 46, a hairdresser, in the Police Court to-day for shoplifting. He pleaded guilty to a charge of stealing a variety of articles at £2 14s. The poiee said that Shilton, whose right arm was in a sling, was seen by a shop assistant ,to place articles in the sling, and when interrogated he bolted. Counsel said that Shilton had been drinking.
