Satterthwaite, of Christchurch, formerly commandant of tho Military School of Instruction at Burnham, has. according to advice received in Christchurch, been promoted to lieutenant-colonel (temporary) and appointed Assistant Adjutant-general on the headquarters staff, 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Passengers for the north by air yesterday were Mr A. C- MacDonald for Christchurch. Mr B. Cameron and Mr L. Lewis for Wellington, and Mr J. Rishworth for Auckland. Passengers who arrived in the afternoon were Mr J. Scott from Auckland, Mr H. T. Speight, Mr R. C. Greenslade, Mr J. Widen and Mrs B. Lawson from Wellington. Mrs R. A. Fougere and infant, Mr B, G. Sherratt. Mr A. M. Satterthwaite and Mr N. J. Webster from Christchurch.
