OTAGO DEFEATS SOUTHLAND The annual representative draughts match between Southland and Otago took place on Saturday at the Kia Ora Tea Rooms, where onlookers witnessed one of the most interesting contests between the two provinces. The referee was Mr E.* Campbell. At the conclusion of the gams 'Mr Mclntosh, on behalf of the Southland team, congratulated Otago on regaining the trophy.
