.» The Dunedin Amateur Cycling Club held its first race of the season on Saturday from Green Island to Brighton and return, a distance of 13 miles. Sixteen riders faced the starter. The following were the results: —M. Lyon (4min 30sec) 1, C. Keach (4min 30sec) 2, J. Rogers (6min 30sec) 3, M. McLachlan (2min 15sec) 4, J. Jelly (3min 30sec) 5 A. Tate (lmin 30sec) 6. The fastest times were: W. Haig (scr). 33min 12 l-ssec; C. Flowers (scr), 33min 12 2-ssec; J. McConnell (scr). 33min 12 3-ssec.
