WEDDING
[While reports of weddings arc appreciated by us, we feel it necessary to intimate that, under present conditions, we cannot see our way to insert reports which do not reach us within 14 days from the date of the wedding.] Simmonds—Clark A quiet military wedding took place •on Saturday afternoon at St. Paul’s Church, Christchurch, the officiating clergyman being the Rev. Allan Watson. The bride was Dorothy May. only daughter of Mr , and Mrs A. Clark, Alton avenue, Musselburgh rise, and the bridegroom Aircraftman Norman R. McC. Simmonds. of Harewood, formerly of Auckland. The bride wore a dainty freck of deep coral pink, with a chic navy hat and navy accessories, with a shoulder spray of pink roses and cornflowers. The only bridesmaid. Miss Peggy Stuart, of Dunedin, wore a floral frock, with a black background, a small black hat, and spray of pink gladioli. The grocm was attended by Lieutenant Hugh Francis, of Auckland. Mr and Mrs Simmonds have taken a flat in Christchurch.
