Naseby Institute held its first meeting for the year on Monday evening, Mrs Fowler being in the chair. The motto was,' “It is possible to disagree without being disagreeable,” and the roll call, a description of a holiday and a childhood photograph. Members stood in silence in respect for two families who had suffered bereavements. The competitions resulted: Piece of Fancywork—Miss K. Bingham 1, Mrs Tallentire 2; pot of raspberry jam, Mrs Fowler 1, Mrs Stuart 2; “jumbled flower names,” Mrs Tallentire. The hostesses were Mrs Smith and Mrs Hore. It was decided to send four parcels this month to soldiers overseas.
