TRAIN DERAILMENT

BOARD OF INQUIRY (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 5. The Board of Inquiry set up by the Minister of Railways, Mr D. G. Sullivan, to inquire into the circumstances surrounding the derailment of the limited express near Mercer on October 28, will assemble in Auckland during the coming week-end, when arrangements for holding the inquiry will be completed. On Saturday members of the board will inspect the scene of the derailment and examine the rolling stock involved. Counsel for the interested parties desiring to accompany the board on the inspection are requested to communicate by telephone with the secretary of the board at railway headquarters, Wellington The present indicatiins ire that Auckland will be chosen as the venue for the opening sessions of the board. The dale on which the inquiry will be opened has not yet been finally decided
